Real estate was always bound to be in Megan’s future. Her family on the father’s side was and is also involved in real estate. Her great great grandpa was a broker and now her dad, aunt, and uncle are property investors. She decided to try it out and see if it could be a fit for her. Gil was incredibly welcoming and Megan quickly grew to love his team and their mission.

Due to Covid and school closures, Megan was at the point where she knew it was time for a career change. She worked at a restaurant and noticed a regular that would come in. She knew of him from growing up in West Sacramento. She saw how involved Gil was in the community, so Megan sparked up a conversation with him. She began to ask him questions and decided she had an interest in real estate. 

Megan’s first job was at her aunt’s restaurant, she then switched gears and began working at a school for children with autism. She was also pursuing her degree as an occupational therapy assistant. Megan’s initial goal was to continue working in a school setting with children who had special needs. Only a year into the program, she found out she was pregnant with her son. The coordinator of the program advised Megan to take a year off and return after she delivered him, due to not being able to perform field work while pregnant.

Unfortunately, when she was ready to return, Covid took place in 2020 and the program was not taking applicants until 2023. She was lucky enough to stay home with her kids since they had to do virtual learning, “the hardest job she’s ever had,” Megan laughs. Afterwards, she started working at the steakhouse. She began as a host and worked her way up to the office administrator position. As an avid dog lover, mother of two, and a passion for vintage cars, having Megan as a part of our team is an amazing addition.

One of Megan’s favorite things about real estate is helping people find their dream homes and reach their goals. Buying a home, whether it’s your first or the one you plan on retiring in, it’s a huge milestone. She feels honored to be able to help people with that process. While it’s an exciting time, it can also be a stressful one. Megan loves that realtors can alleviate that stress for their clients and handle most of the hard work.
